This Time Last Year
This time last year, Christina and I just had just found out we were going to be parents. Today, our son loves looking at our brightly lit Christmas tree.
This time last year, Christina and I speculated, dreamed, and discussed how next Christmas will be with a our first child. Today, we’ve been singing Christmas carol’s to him…which he seems to love.
This time last year, Christina wasn’t even showing but the thought of a budding little baby growing inside her made us smile from ear to ear. Today, our little man smiles at us from ear to ear.
This time last year, Christina was just starting to feel the affects of morning sickness. This year, no more morning sickness, but she misses being pregnant.
This time last year, we prepared “Merry Christmas Grandma” cards for our Mothers and “Merry Christmas Great Grandma” cards for our Grandmothers, all four cards contained the a picture of the first Sonogram as a way to announce the news on Christmas Day. Today, we’re shopping for a Christmas outfit for that little boy that was just circle on a picture this time last year.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or however you choose the celebrate the Winter Solstice. May the coming year fill you with excitement and hope as ours was last year, or happiness and love like ours was this year.
All the best to my Tumblr buddies.
